A writer from New York City attempts to solve the murder of a girl he hooked up with and travels down south to investigate the circumstances of her death and discover what happened to her.
 
The title & trailer for this movie are very deceptive because they lead you to believe you are about to watch a fish out of water whodunnit noir mystery mixed with some relatively dark humor, but in reality this film is just a bunch of back & forth characters spouting their seemingly profound ideas that are supposed to be wise & powerful in the hopes to inspire the viewing audience rather than entertain them.  This movie is a fad and if you were to ask someone that says they really enjoyed it, “why they actually liked it”, they wouldn't be able to tell you.  Instead their response would be, "YOU just didn't get it."  Like I said…Fad.
 
FUN FACT:  At one point Ben and Ty discuss Liam Neeson movies. Boyd Holbrook was actually in one: A Walk Among the Tombstones (2014).
