A cynical former civil liberties attorney now reduced to "specializing" in defending drug dealers becomes transformed by an eight-year-old murder case.
 
The film is very entertaining and the story still holds up, but you do have to get past James Wood's horrible ponytail.  That thing is epic!  
 
FUN FACT:  The character of Eddie Dodd was modeled after famed civil rights lawyer Tony Serra.
