A retiring police detective pledges to catch the killer of a young child.
The film does start off solid, but it becomes more fragmented as the movie progresses with an ending that wasn't as powerful as it could have been. If more attention was given to the movie's screenplay and less focus was on the cameo cast, then this one could've been a classic.
FUN FACT: The photograph of Jerry Black (Jack Nicholson) as a younger man is the same one used in "The Shining (1980)."
