The Mitchells vs the Machines

A quirky, dysfunctional family's road trip is upended when they find themselves in the middle of the robot apocalypse and suddenly become humanity's unlikeliest last hope.

Parents might want to view this film first, discuss it, then decide to show it to their kids.

A charming & captivating comedy that's colorful, chaotic and...quirky.

FUN FACT:  At the beginning of the third act of the film, Katie is recording the family on a camera, which reports having 42 minutes left in the battery. At this point, there are approximately 48 minutes left in the movie before the end credits sequence begins. Additionally, the date on the camera is September 24th, 2020, the day the film was completed. 42 may also be a reference to Douglas Adams's novel Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, "The answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything is 42."
