Seven years after he survived the monster apocalypse, lovably hapless Joel leaves his cozy underground bunker behind on a quest to reunite with his ex.
 
This is an original story with equal parts comedy & drama.  The crazy action sequences are filled with outstanding special effect CGI monsters that will haunt your nightmares for the days to follow.  In a word, this movie was just...FUN!
 
FUN FACT:  The two dogs that portrayed 'Boy' were two Australian kelpies called Hero and Dodge.  When filming with the dogs, only Dylan O'Brien was allowed to interact with Hero and Dodge.  If Ariana Greenblatt was filming scenes with the dogs, Dylan would have to take a day off and not be present on the set.
