A group of motorists witnesses a car crash in the California desert, and after the driver's dying words indicate the location of a hidden stash of loot, they turn against each in a race across the state to get to it.
It’s a Super Super Super Super Dated film. I'm sure in the 60s everyone thought this movie was hysterical, but watching it these days makes me wonder what everyone was thinking...or smoking that made this one so hilarious.
FUN FACT: The film contained many cameo appearances by various stars associated with comedy. According to some exhibitors--from both the original roadshow version shown in Cinerama venues and the 35mm general release version--the biggest audience reaction occurred during the airport sequence when the camera would come down to reveal Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Joe DeRita (aka The Three Stooges). Although they had no dialog or action, the image of the trio--dressed as firemen, complete with fire axes, waiting for the plane to land--not only resulted in laughter but often in applause from audiences.
