In an effort to thwart Grindelwald's plans of raising pure-blood wizards to rule over all non-magical beings, Albus Dumbledore enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.

FUN FACT:  To prepare for the role of Dumbledore, J.K. Rowling gave Jude Law extremely secret details about his character during a two and a half-hour meeting between the two of them, during which he was allowed to ask as many questions as he needed. Law also watched Michael Gambon's performance in the previous 4 films to help establish the character and performance.
