An ordinary man frustrated with the various flaws he sees in society begins to psychotically and violently lash out against them.
 
Michael Douglas considers this his favorite performance of all the movies he has been in and I just might agree with him.  
 
FUN FACT:  The man who is yelling about being "not economically viable" in front of the bank is wearing the same clothes as Foster. Even the tie pattern is the same.
