An uncanny Presidential lookalike named Dave is recruited by the Secret Service to become a momentary stand-in for the President of the United States.

FUN FACT:  Former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama were big fans of this movie. Clinton gave screenwriter Gary Ross a framed copy of the script, which Clinton had autographed, writing that it was a "funny, often accurate lampooning of politics." Clinton also gave Ross a picture of himself holding a "Dave" mug. Obama told Kevin Kline, "I love watching the movie when I'm depressed because you make the job of President look so fun and so easy."
