FUN FACT:  Confess, Fletch is based on the book by Gregory Mcdonald, which is the second book in the Fletch series. The 1985 film starring Chevy Chase was based on the first book.  The story that Frank tries to get Fletch to take on at the end of the film, regarding the sudden retirement of newspaper publisher Walter March, sets up the plot of the next novel in the Fletch series, Fletch's Fortune.
